New born Grey Seal pup on beach

This new born pup was spotted on a beach in Norfolk, England. It had been born earlier in the day. From November to December around 6000 Grey Seals make their way to this area and around a 1000 new pups are born each year. This represents between 30-40% of the world's Grey Seal population and so is a special place. This pup has the yellow fur for new born which turns white. In a couple of weeks, the pup will be bigger than it's mother. Taken in late November 2021 and from a safe distance with a telephoto lens.
